NEW CANAAN CT (January 10, 2024) - The Connecticut Art Education Association announced the recipients of the prestigious 2024 Connecticut Regional Scholastic Awards. The Scholastics Art Awards celebrates achievements in skill, creativity, and personal voice. Thirteen New Canaan High School students were selected as Honorable Mention, Silver Key, and Gold Key winners.
Mia Lockyer, Cara Passios, Isabella Sarracino, Henyerson Tolentino, and Kailey Marti all received Gold Key awards for their entries. Cara Passios also received the Connecticut Arts Administration Association’s Best in Photography Award. As Gold Key winners, their artworks will advance to the national level of competition.
All artwork will be available to view between January 17th - February 3rd at the University of Hartford's Art School Slip Gallery in Taub Hall. (200 Bloomfield Avenue Hartford, West Hartford CT 06117). Gallery Hours are M-S 8:30 - 4:30pm, Sa-Su 12 - 5pm.
