The South School annual Fall Walk to School Day was held today, Friday, October 7th. This is one of South School’s most cherished family events. School spirit was on full display as many students, parents, and even some family pets  were decked out in our school colors of blue and white, and their favorite school apparel as they walked or rode bikes or scooters to school.  There was a lot of blue hair and wigs as well! Our mascot South Paw also joined in on the fun. When students arrived at school there was music and dancing and play time, and our PTC provided Coffee and… for the parents. A great time was had by all!

We want to thank Tiger Mann and members of the New Canaan Public Works, Parks & Recreation  Ground Crew, and volunteers for New Canaan Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) who were stationed at intersections along the primary walking routes to assist families, our PTC for their support of this event and of course our faculty and staff who were either out on the streets cheering on our students and families or supervising students on the playgrounds upon arrival!
