We hope all of our East families enjoyed a wonderful April break. It is feeling more and more like spring each week and we have many upcoming events to keep us busy here at East. Read on for some “gentle reminders” of all that is happening here!

East Arts Evening –  Tuesday, April 26th

5:30PM-6:00PM Families with Last Name, A-L

6:20PM-6:50PM Families with Last Name, M-Z

Come visit your child’s classroom artwork posted in their Hallway Gallery (just outside their classroom door) and then join your child to create more artwork in the East cafeteria Art Studio!

Thank you for your attention to the schedule above to allow us to best manage crowds and parking. This is intended to be an evening for you to enjoy alongside your child; students are to remain with parents or guardians throughout the evening. This is to ensure the safety and supervision of all of our students during this busy event. 

After visiting your child’s artwork in their classroom hallway, please proceed with your child to the East cafeteria to create more artwork for our school and notes of gratitude for Mrs. Smith, Ms. Zeiss (East art teachers), and our other East School specialists staff.

East School Science Fair - Saturday, April 30th, 10AM

We are thrilled to “welcome back” our in-person East School Science Fair! We would love to see even more of our young scientists sharing their investigations, questions, projects, and ideas on April 30th. Please note that all participants must register in advance. Click HERE for registration details ASAP; the registration deadline is Monday, April 25th.

East School Family School Climate Survey

If you have not already done so, all East families are invited to complete the School Climate Survey shared earlier this week to provide feedback that can continue to inform our growth at East School. Please be in touch if you are unable to locate Mrs. Woleck’s email with the link from earlier this week. Thank you!

2022-23 Placement Google Form

Just a gentle reminder that any K-3 parent who would like to submit placement information for the upcoming school year you must submit the google form by Friday, April 22nd (tomorrow). This form is optional but we do ask that parents wishing to communicate information submit the form by this deadline.

Fourth grade parents will receive a placement form from Saxe administration in the upcoming weeks, and incoming kindergarten parents will have the opportunity to share information at the upcoming Kindergarten student orientation sessions. 

If your K-3 child will not be returning to East School next year (moving, etc.), please let the East School office know as soon as possible; this can allow us to support your child’s transition and ensure that documentation is processed in a timely manner.
