Exciting News! East School in New Canaan, CT, is now pen-pals with another East Elementary School located in Monroe, North Carolina. This represents an exciting opportunity for students to connect with other peers around the world and also utilize their Spanish learning skills with students who are fluent in the language.
Before the Thanksgiving holiday, our fourth-grade students wrote cards and notes to the fourth-graders at East School, NC using the Spanish language skills they've learned in class. Students have been eager to hear back from their pen pals and are excited to practice speaking with same-age peers who are fluent in the language. We look forward to these authentic ways of applying our Spanish learning, especially with our new Zoom pals!
