NCPS maintained its ranking in the Top 1% out of 12,292 school districts nationwide. The achievement highlights NCPS' continued commitment to educational excellence for the district's K-12 students.
The district has earned an overall Niche Grade of "A+" for 2024, with an average reading proficiency of 86%, an average math proficiency of 81% and an average graduation rate of 97%.
According to Niche.com, a leading provider of comprehensive data on U.S. K-12 schools and colleges, the best school districts in America are determined each year through an in-depth evaluation process. The criteria to earn this advanced ranking is based on a combination of U.S. Department of Education data, such as state test scores, graduation rates, college entrance data, and ratings collected from parent and student surveys.
This year, Niche has removed SAT/ACT as a criteria point for its 2024 rankings due to a de-emphasis on test scores for college admissions.
